About
Calling for all coders, researchers, scientists, designers, storytellers, problem -solvers, and anyone enthusiastic about addressing the challenges facing us all to come forward. We are thrilled to announce that the Food Security and Resilience Copernicus Hackathon is coming to UK, and will take place at the University of Leicester on 19 and 20 September 2019.
How does it work?
A hackathon is an intense event where participants from a diverse range of backgrounds and with expertise in a variety of fields collaborate in small teams over the course of two days. The teams will then work on developing prototypes of new software using open data from the Copernicus programme.
Ultimately, the Copernicus Hackathon will conclude with one or more projects (be they business ideas or collaborative projects), developed over the two days. These will then be further supported by the chief organising partners.
